I have studied music at Jacksonville University; this includes Jazz Guitar, Music theory and lots of improvisation.In High School I took Rock guitar lessons in Malvern, Pa. I have played guitar , electric bass and Keyboards for over 20 years. The student's musical goals guide me in shaping the lessons around their needs. Learning music is fun; this is why teaching music is my passion. *** Lesson Details *** My lesson strategy depends on the direction the student desires. Fundamentals like sight reading, time signatures and other music theory essentials will be either a main focus or a lesser aspect once the student describes their musical direction. The books I use will also be chosen with the student in mind. Ear training, finger positions, musical styles and technique will be important parts of each lesson. *** Studio Equipment *** Gibson Les Paul, J-45 acoustic guitar, Kurzweil electric Piano, Fender Precision bass *** Travel Equipment *** a guitar ; acoustic or electric and an electric piano or bass. I expect the student to have their own instrument. *** Specialties *** jazz guitar and rock guitar are my areas of expertise
