I am a middle school math teacher so I work closely with students and I am familiar with their struggles in math. I volunteered to be a math mentor for young students while in college. I really enjoy working with students and make math simple to them. Also, I was a tutor for multiple advanced math courses in college.

I am a middle school math teacher and I was drawn to the field of education based on my positive and diverse experience as Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Leader. As I tutored students, I was able to hone my teaching skills and help them to reach their goals through PAL sessions thorough the school year. My strength in developing strategies and methods based on hand-on activities and proofing theorems to overcome mathematical challenges to detail which will allow students to understand math better. I am confident in my teaching skills and mathematical knowledge to work collaborator that will make you much better at math.

My son looks forward to working with Omar. Omar has a fun, encouraging and engaging way of teaching math. He has a great deal of patience and quickly identifies areas that may need more work. My son's confidence and performance in math has greatly improved since working with Omar.
