I am a professional jazz trombone player, and am currently enrolled at the School of Jazz at the New School in New York City getting my Bachelor's degree in Trombone performance. Although I play more jazz than anything else, I have plenty of experience in other genres including: classical, funk, rock, pop, and soul music. Beginning, intermediate, and advanced trombone students can all expect to see week to week improvement when taking lessons with me. I've taught students from ages 5 to 15, and am willing to teach students of any age and any level. I grew up playing music, and started playing trombone in 5th grade. The training I have gotten since I began has been excellent and rigorous, and I have a deep understanding of what makes a great music lesson. I've been playing for 10 years now, and understand the mindset of students who m new to music as well as those who are a bit more advanced. I have taught many students how to read music, and now they are excellent sight-readers! To me, teaching music to a younger generation or even older musicians looking to improve is very important. Anyone can be a great musician, and it starts with the right training! I can teach private lessons in my school's large music practice rooms (located in Greenwich Village, Manhattan) at the student's home, or even online!
