I am a graduate from CSUSB with a concentration in vocal performance. My goal as a singer is primarily to perform, as I've been doing it my whole life and it has been my passion since I can remember. While I've studied classical music at school, I sing many genres. I would like to teach lessons to share what I have learned, because I can help singers achieve a good foundation for good singing. As a singer it's important to understand breathing and technique so as not to make yourself tired or even cause damage within the vocal chords. My experience as a performer the past few years has been through school. I have been in many productions within opera theatre as well as had roles in musical theatre. I was the female lead in "Don Pasquale" in 2016, as Norina, and sang the lead in "Monkey See Monkey Do" as Maria. I played Alba in "La Curandera" in 2015, and Cinderella in "Into the Woods" that same year. I have sung with the vocal jazz ensemble as well as the chamber singers at CSUSB for about four years. While I was very involved in performing through Cal State, I also enjoyed singing before I decided to further my education in college.At a very young age I was involved in music and entered many talent shows and competitions. I was in the televised series "American Juniors" when I was about nine. And won the Inland Empire talent search when I was around 12 years old. In 2008 I sung for the Blue Jay Jazz festival accompanied by the Carl Saunders Sextet, and the same year at the Lake Arrowhead film festival hosted by Gloria Loring. I received a scholarship from the Blue Jay Jazz foundation and have used it to further my music career. I have also sung a number of times as a guest artist at the L.A. African American museum, and for the L. A. Walk-a-thon. have loved singing, and am continuing my career when I graduate as I would like to continue my education and experience, as well as help other singers improve their teqhnique and musicianship skills, as well as develop their own unique sound.
