Ms. Olga far exceeds even my very high expectations. She was a great choice and will follow her career with great enthusiasm and joy. She teaches my young daughter with strict joy. You can tell she loves to teach it. I want to become her student also.
Learning began the first minute of lesson 1 and has never stopped. She teaches classic piano discipline, form, theory, musicality, and performance. She teaches and demonstrates the art and science of piano.
I simply can not say enough good about her. I wish she is my wife.

I highly recommend Miss. Olga!
My 10 year old daughter has been playing piano on and off for two and half years, and we started to have lessons with Miss. Olga a month ago. Miss. Olga, who is classically trained, not only keeps a nice balance between theory and performance, but also accommodates my daughter's interests in contemporary music. My daughter just finished learning "Let it go" from Frozen, and has moved on to "Rock around the clock."
Every teacher has a point of view, personal preferences, and methodological bias that may fit one child but may not fit another child as well. Some of the teachers we have previously experienced, demonstrated how a piece of music would sound, then taught how to play it; one teacher taught with finger numbers only, another taught using musical notes. My last teacher taught with finger numbers and notes but unfortunately never ever played any songs for or with my daughter. I have books written with only finger numbers, as a result, my daughter still has hard time reading music. I have other books with names of music notes, but with insufficient fingering instruction which resulted in my daughter developing poor fingering technique. I used to have to go over the songs with my kids after each lesson.
Miss. Olga, on the other hand, demonstrates how the song should sound, then goes over the music line by line helping my daughter to figure out what the notes are, how to finger the notes and then plays the melody along with my daughter 8 octaves higher.
It seems that to Miss. Olga, learning how to play piano is a serious business, a business that the teacher and the student have to run together in order to be successful. Collaborative decision making with a child requires a willingness to listen, negotiate and compromise. As Jessica Turner (music educator) argues music instructors know about teaching music, but when it comes to your child and how s/he learns, we parents are the expert. As an educator myself, I appreciate that Miss. Olga lets me work together with her to ensure the fit and quality of my daughter's musical instruction. I feel fortunate that we have found such a great instructor for my daughter!
