Enjoy your lessons with a friendly, professional, and highly qualified teacher. I am a Runner Up in the 2018 Yamaha E - Band competition and my playing has been described as "ravishing ....with a wonderful variety of tone colors and nuance of interpretation." I hold a Bachelor Degree in Music and currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Jazz composition and performance at Longy School of Music of Bard College studying with Noah Preminger, the winner of Downbeat Magazine’s Rising Star Best Tenor Saxophonist. For over 20 years I have taught students of all ages and levels of advancement in colleges and my private studio. My students are the recipients of numerous awards and regularly receive the highest ratings in competitions and festivals. In addition to my private studio, I am currently the head of the saxophone studio at IFSI - Immigrant Family Services Institutes, Boston Massachusetts, USA. What's mostly important to me is owning your own sound irrespective of the style of music you want focus on. I love to tell my students to always see the saxophone as their voice and not a type of machine. This posture will help my students to make the best use of materials and information acquired in each lessons with the goal of owning their own sound. Designing a curriculum that will help each students achieve their goal is of high importance to me and walking them through the art of studying materials such as books and repertoire of different genre will be judiciously examined to meet their goal, from note reading, performance, creative interpretations, composition, to the development of a healthy and virtuosic technic. The curriculum is designed to find ways that allow students to develop their unique talents and strengths by understanding their unique learning styles and by creating the most ideal learning atmosphere. While no two students are alike, I believe that students of all ages and personality types learn best when they are in a happy, motivated and calm emotional state. I think it is important to take the craft and art of music seriously, as well as the development of our talents and skills. It is also vital to have fun with learning, teaching, and performing, and I always try to provide an upbeat atmosphere in the private lessons and small-group classes. I'm looking forward to begin this journey with you.
