I am a professional guitarist, bassist, and songwriter. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from the University of Illinois.
I tailor lessons toward what each student wants to accomplish, whether it's to learn their favorite song or a whole new style of playing. This helps keep lessons fun and engaging as students can stay focused on their personal goals and learn more broad musical concepts at the same time.
Played various styles of music and accompanied guest entertainers
Taught students of all ages, provided open office hours
Noah is very patient, encouraging, and enthusiastic. I felt comfortable and encouraged when taking lessons with Noah. I've taken private lessons for other instruments, but I'm a beginner with formal guitar lessons. Noah made it easy for me to get started at the first lesson. I would highly recommend Noah for beginners or experienced musicians.+ Read More

Noah was a great teacher because he knew his stuff and he was patient. From jazz to rock, Noah had the tricks for licks! 10/10 would recommend. Why aren't you taking lessons from him already?
I was only an amateur when Noah began teaching me, and I made more improvement in my first month of lessons with him than I had in the last year. He's extremely knowledgeable and makes playing the guitar seem easy. He always gives 110% and wants to help you learn and improve. 12/10 would recommend.+ Read More
Noah taught my son for 2 years before moving out of the area. He was always extremely patient with his students. He taught my son the RIGHT tools that beginners need to know. He didn’t just teach him rock song after rock song. Rather, he explored different scales, different genres, and beginning steps into improvisation. As a college music professor myself, I can absolutely say that Noah excels in any academia arena. Not only does he teach well, he’s a monster player.+ Read More

When Noah started teaching me on guitar, I had already been playing for a few years and considered myself an amateur. I soon realized there was much more to learn... But within a few weeks, I started to see myself progress as I learned scales, bar chords, strumming methods and more. In classes, he would express a deep understanding of the guitar and would show it through his playing and his enthusiasm in the subject. Overall, Noah was a fantastic teacher and I would definitely recommend lessons to anyone interested in playing, or already knows how but wants to learn more!+ Read More

Noah is extremely knowledgeable about the guitar and a fantastic teacher as well. I observed my skills on the guitar grow steadily week by week as I continued to go back and learn under him. Noah was also able to listen to the intricate riffs and solos that inspired me and play them before my eyes, without having heard the songs before. Noah has a very high music IQ and knows how to explain things in a way that draws the best out of people.+ Read More
