    Nina K. was born in Nashville, Tennessee. Her father and mother were concert pianists and professors of piano, as well as serving as director and accompanist for the Fisk Jubilee Singers. Nina gave her first complete piano recital at nine years old, and appeared as piano soloist with the Nashville Symphony playing Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue at age 13. She has appeared in concert and as piano soloist with symphony orchestras internationally. A conducting apprentice under Maestro Kurt Masur, she holds a master's degree from the Juilliard School. As a filmmaker and producer, her films have been selected for screenings at the Berlin International Film Festival, as well as international film festivals in New York, Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Jerusalem, London, Munich, Oslo, and Philadelphia.
