My name is Nikki and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching art, sewing, theater, and fashion classes since 2014.
I am currently working as a freelance costumer and theater tech. I also teach Tech Theater through a nonprofit after school program.
I love to help my students hand sew, draw designs, and use a sewing machine to make clothes they can actually wear.
I am background checked and fingerprinted by the Department of Education. I am a member of the National Art Education Association, The Teaching Artist Guild, and the Brooklyn Arts Council. I August, I will be moving to California to pursue a Masters Degree in Community Art Education.
I went to Parsons School of Design and earned a degree in Integrated Fashion and Costume Design in 2013. I also studied Fashion & Accessories Design and Illustration at the University of the Arts London. I'm an enthusiastic and dedicated person and my teaching style is all about being curious, and learning the tools you need in a fun and easy way. I will help you make your skills work for you, to express your unique sense of creativity. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
Teach classes in sewing, garment construction, drawing, and fashion branding to classes ages 6-12. Teach private lessons to students ages 8+.
Create patterns, prints, and graphics for Juniors Active and Louge Apparel. Manage social media and photoshoots. Approve dyes and patterns, conduct fittings, and create presentations for client meetings.
Art research, community outreach, and event planning for the 2nd annual CBGB music festival in Times Square, New York City.
Assist in making costumes for stage and film

Certified in Meditation History and Science, familiar with the practices of many types of meditation.
