The music program at LHYAC offers introductory courses in a wide variety of instruments and styles to the growing community in Lincoln Heights. I have been the violin and music theory instructor there for three years and have worked with director Angelica Loa Perez to build a string program that emphasizes fundamental technical training while encouraging students to collaborate in ensembles and cross boundaries of genre.

Glendale Unified School District

I provide lessons in pre-instrumental music to kindergarten through third grade students at three elementary schools in the greater Glendale area. Lessons include subject matter on rhythm and melodic comprehension, instrument recognition, musical vocabulary and recorder.

Foothills Music Academy

I was the violin, viola and voice teacher at FMA, providing private lessons for young musicians of all ages and skill levels. Combining an expertise in classical violin and old-time fiddling, lessons are geared toward providing a foundation that allows students to master material in any style and sound great while they do it.
