About Nicole S.

I graduated from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. While in college, I studied with a voice teacher that graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Vocal Performance Degree and she has worked professionally in Operas in Europe and the U.S. I have 14 years of experience as a singer, and most recently I've worked professionally as a vocalist. I've worked with the Orlando Philarmonic Orchestra, the Daytona Symphony Orchestra ( that judged a Talent show where I placed 1st at the young age of 12), St. James's Episcopal Church in their Choir, and various private events. As an actress, I have worked at Halloween Events, some regional theatre, and Christmas Town at Busch Gardens as an entertainer. I've trained in acting, voice, music theory, movement for the actor, musical theatre workshops led by Broadway artists and professional thespians, and dance.

I have a wealth of knowledge and resources to teach and provide for the student looking to train in voice. I can help the student sing with freedom, release the tension and strain, and ultimately create expression and dynamics. I approach vocal technique practically, with exercises that help strengthen the voice and breathing capability. I encourage beginners to be patient, as the voice takes time to mature and grow.

I teach with the philosophy that singing should be fun. It should not be strenuous or painful in any way. My lessons will challenge you, but I also try to keep a light attitude. I am upbeat and positive, and my goal is to help the student unlock their artistic potential in a safe, caring environment. I can help students navigate vocal issues such as breaks, strain, breath support, and more.

Some styles I am most comfortable with are classical musical theatre (Golden Age), Contemporary Musical Theatre, Pop, and Rock / Alternative.
