    About Nicole P.

I am a passionate music professional with experience in many facets of the music industry. As a seasoned performer, I have traveled the United States for tours and major performances at festivals and conferences including Lollapalooza, SXSW, and Northside Festival. I was a finalist in the 2017 Hit Like A Girl International Drum contest. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in 2016 with a degree in Music Business Management and a minor in Music Technology, which I completed during a semester abroad at the Berklee Valencia Spain campus. Currently, I perform across North America with my independent psychedelic rock quartet Bat House. Bat House independently released their debut self-produced record in April 2017 and were nominated for two Boston Music Awards (‘17) -- ‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Best Music Video (unsigned artist)’. The band has recorded work with industry tastemakers Audiotree, Daytrotter, and Converse Rubber Tracks. As a dedicated educator, I seek to bring a passion and love for music to my students through the music they enjoy. Music is not a one sided conversation; therefore music education also shouldn't be. Through my studies with world renowned performers and educators Rod Morgenstein, Tony “Thunder” Smith, Dave DiCenso, Kim Plainfield, and Henrique De Almeida and my experiences as a performer and session musician, I draw from a vast tool kit and her own methodologies to create unique and individualized lessons for each student. Accessibility to music education, and in turn music creation, amplifies voices and experiences, builds a supportive community, and supports development of key life skills. I fundamentally believe that art is an empathy machine and that the powerful benefits of music creation can, and do, make better happen.

    Bat House

"Bat House is a nationally touring four piece psychedelic rock band from Boston, MA. [Bat House’s] glittery sludge rock feels like Boston with material that is as crisp and calculated as it is languid and dreamy. Naturally flowing arrangements and strikingly internalized tempos are the core of their ‘utterly punk as fuck’ live performance spectacle. Allston Pudding raves, “Bat House is trippy but cohesive, deceptively relaxed but well executed.” The four are shapeshifting and trailblazing their own brand of genre-bending psych rock, fearlessly pushing the envelope with their eccentric recordings and all encompassing live shows. Throughout the band’s 2 years in their house turned venue turned recording studio turned music oasis, Bat House wrote, recorded, and produced their locally acclaimed debut self-titled record. On nights not spent recording, the house hosted shows featuring local and touring independent bands for crowds of sweaty, music loving college students. The four displaced basement dwellers’ hunger for big sounds brought Bat House to the surface. The friendships formed at these shows allowed Bat House to tour throughout North America, stopping by Audiotree, Daytrotter, and SXSW along the way, and come home to rowdy and electric sold out shows." I compose, record, and perform all original music with the band and manage all day to day operations, book tours, tour manage, create and execute marketing and content plans, and manage social media.
