I have been teaching voice, music and acting for over a decade in many capacities. I have taught K-8 general music, elementary and upper school chorus, acting, musical theatre, beginning piano and voice. I have taught in private schools, public schools and after-school centers. Teaching private voice lessons is my very favorite part of my job. This is where I get to see my students passion and skill grow each week as we discover music and work through distinct challenges together. As an educator I believe that anyone can sing and that music and singing can be transformative. I believe that students gain skills that not only allow them to become a talented and well rounded individual, but also teach skills relating to confidence building, long-term goals, persistence, perseverance and patience. I encourage students to take large leaps by performing annually in a recital and by participating in local assessments and competitions. I can also help students prepare for upcoming events such as a performance, wedding songs, talent show, or school audition. I teach at my in home in Pinecrest- very close to The Falls shopping center. Parents or guests are always welcome to watch in on any lesson. I teach students of any age or skill set. I teach a variety of music: pop, rock, broadway, Disney, folk, art, classical, and worship. I can also teach music theory and sight singing.
