Cello with Nicholas D.

Nicholas D’Amaro maintains a multi-faceted career as a professional musician and music educator in Western New York. D’Amaro received his bachelors and masters degree in music education, studying voice with Dr. Holly Bewlay and viola with Ms. Kate Holzemer. Currently Nicholas teaches at Clarence Middle School teaching Chorus and General Music. Prior to his appointment in Clarence, D’Amaro taught High School and Elementary Orchestra in the Lake Shore Central School District. An avid performer, Nicholas has performed various roles and played in several ensembles. Currently, D’Amaro plays in the Buffalo State Philharmonia and Cheektowaga Community Symphony Orchestra. As a vocalist, he has sung Rutter’s Mass of the Children, and has presented numerous vocal recitals. D’Amaro is a member of NYSSMA (New York State Schools of Music Association) and ECMEA (Erie County Music Educators Association) and chairs the Junior High South Orchestra. He regularly prepares students for college auditions and solo festivals, where his students receive superior ratings.
