I have performed in over a dozen countries and most of the states with a variety of different acts, including some popular names in the industry.  I freelance around Orlando, including at Walt Disney World.I have taught in Brevard, Seminole, Volusia, and Orange counties.  Every one of my students has earned a "Superior" rating at their Solo and Ensemble festival, and many of my students were invited to play in All-County band and orchestra, with a few having played in All-State.I teach both privately and through the school boards in the surrounding area, and work with students from 6th through 12th grade during the school day, and am in constant contact with many of the teachers in the area. Many of my students have come to me as the weaker students in their band or orchestra class, and end up the best player within a few months. *** Lesson Details *** My lessons are extremely positive and energetic, but intense.  Lessons include technique and performance, but also theory and history related to the student's instrument.  I encourage outside research and if you have any questions about anything in my lesson during the week that can't wait for the lesson, feel free to contact me and I will help--whether it be an assignment I gave, a musician to listen to for inspiration, or advice on an instrument purchase. You can expect to see much improvement over the course of a few months.  I will give you exercises to work on daily, which are the same exercises I work on as a pro.  Since I have a strong rapport with many of the local band and orchestra teachers in Central Florida, I can keep in contact with them to make sure we have you on the right path. Depending on your instrument, there are some books I strongly suggest you pick up for our lessons.I teach beginner guitar, which has been especially successful for younger students.  My lessons are very fun for children, and being from a very large family, I am very comfortable around kids.Parents are welcomed and encouraged to sit and participate in lessons.  It helps if they know and understand what I assign to your child so you can further encourage him or her when practicing at home.  I also like to sum up with parents at the end of the lesson what I have taught during lesson time. NOTE: If you are new to your instrument, and are wanting to purchase or rent an instrument before our first lesson, please contact me first, as there is a number of things to be considered when buying an instrument. *** Specialties *** Brass--Arban's & Koprasch Methods among others Bass--Simandl, Nanny, & Rabbath Methods Specializing in classical, jazz, and commercial, with a special knowledge and interest in a number of ethnic genres.
