Music is the greatest thing in the world. I grew up listening to my parent's music and began connecting to it at a very young age. By the time I was 12 I was singing and playing along to all my favorite records and fronting my own band. By 15 I was playing live shows with Don Was and Glenn Frey and doing session work in Glenn's studio. I performed at the Panama Jazz festival at 17 with my Jazz band, performed as finalists in the Monterrey Jazz High School competition, and went on to study Popular Music Performance at USC. I write, produce, MD, perform, teach, and do session work for a living. My passion is sharing the gift of music with others that I carry with the utmost joy and gratitude. My goal is to help you reach your musical goals, and help you discover the ones you may not yet be aware of. I have an extensive musical vocabulary from all the listening and playing I've done across all genres, that enriches my musical life. It ranges from early blues and American roots music all the way to contemporary pop music that can be heard everywhere today. Whether you just want to learn how to strum a few chords or develop into a fully realized professional musician, I know how to help you get there. I've been teaching privately in Los Angeles for 7 years and have seen it all. My students range from 7 year olds with no experience all the way to seasoned pros. I'm confident I can help you meet your goals and enjoy a life of music.
