I take a tailored approach to each students requirements - no one size fits all approach from me. We will take a look at your strengths and weaknesses and talk about your wants and needs, I will make a plan and we will take a structured approach with tangible goals and tasks set each week. I take a top down approach, always working from the angle of practical application and I embellish that with theory tidbits along the way, providing an educational aspect coupled with practicality.

I have been playing guitar since 1994 and have taught much of that time. I play guitar for #1 hit makers "The Three Degrees" and am also the guitar player at Times Square Church. I have taught at many top music schools in London and NYC. I have had educational articles published in Guitar player magazine as well as Total Guitar magazine. I look forward to serving your guitar educational needs.

Nick is an amazing teacher! I've learned so much since studying with him. Nick taught me music theory in a way that was easy to digest. He broke things down in such an understandable way. Where Nick really excels as a teacher is that his lessons pushed my mental abilities just enough to make me critically deconstruct what he taught me, and even more importantly, give me the available knowledge to learn on my own. After taking lessons with Nick, I feel much more confident in my theory knowledge and I am equipped to go further in my training! Thanks Nick!

I've had two lessons now with Nick and I'm totally motivated. I chose Nick with a specific request to focus on my right hand picking technique. Nick is not only a superb player but an excellent teacher. On my first lesson Nick was prepared with four techniques and exercises. they weer written as well. He patiently walked me through them and it's been a tremendous help. I really fee that this is going to help me progress.

Nick Kellie provides professional, easy to understand, customized instructions for the beginner or professional ! I've been writing and performing as a professional musician for over 20 years., and NICK was able to work with me on a few specific things - custom to my experience and working situation, to help me prepare for live and studio situations that I wanted to challenge myself to improve. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! Brad Alden (worship leader)

Although I didn't formally study with Nick we did play many gigs together in NYC. Nick is a great guitar player with a lot of technique and a lot of musicality. He should be your first choice for instruction on guitar, both online and in person. He communicates extremely well in both mediums; Nick will make you a better guitarist.

I've been taking lessons from Nick for a couple of months now. I've been playing for a while and I decided that I needed to understand the layout of the fretboard more and how scale shapes relate to chords. Nick has really helped me with this and I now have a direction that will produce a vast improvement in my playing knowledge. I cannot recommend Nick highly enough and wherever you are on your playing journey, Nick will take you to the next level and beyond!

I only wish I had one tenth of Nick’s talent - I’ve taken guitar classes from Nick on and off now for 2 years. He is a wealth of knowledge on guitar and music theory , clear and precise in his instruction. No shortcuts with Nick he lets you know from the start that there is going to be some hard work involved but once you have it its yours. Outstanding teacher 👍🏻

Not all skillful performers are great teachers and vise versa. Nick is by far one of the best teacher/performer I had the opportunity to meet. His ability to articulate his musical ideas and to break them down to best fit each student is outstanding. Nick is very patient with his students and is very determined to bring the best out of each student.. I wish Nick good luck in his musical journey..

Being a seasoned player myself, I don't take looking for an instructor lightly. Nick is everything I had hoped for. A really great guy and an unbelievable guitar player. Well versed in many styles and genres of music. The whole experience was incredibly enlightening and opened a number of new doors in my playing. Really looking forward to more lessons in the future.
