Struggling with high notes, struggling with rhythm? Take lessons from a trumpet player and teacher!

The trumpet is a physically demanding instrument to learn to play. Taking lessons with me will give you the knowledge you need to tackle this instrument. We will go over fundamentals: embouchure, lip buzz, lip slurs, scales, chords, etc. I will challenge you to be the best that you can. You can bring a piece of music you are working on, or we can find music to work on together. I have about a decade of giving trumpet lessons and a degree in trumpet performance. In short I will impart upon you the knowledge and experience that I have gained, and give you what you need to understand how to work this instrument.

My name is Nick Carncross. Like many musicians I got started in elementary school and I simply have not put the trumpet down since. I have almost two decades of playing experience, school, college, in local communities, and even a little bit with a military band. You want to learn classical, jazz, contemporary music, no problem! In order to be successful in any genre that you want to play, you need to have a solid foundation with technical prowess.
