I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience into the lessons I teach. I'm a lover of all types of music and have worked with singers of all ages and genres ranging from classical to contemporary. My focus is placed on not just creating great singers, but smart singers who understand healthy vocal production. It’s my belief that everyone has innate musical ability and that every student who studies voice or any instrument has the ability to succeed. Music lessons are a journey. Every student that I teach is on their own unique path. It’s my job as the teacher to instill the technical, theoretical, and physiological knowledge to make their studies successful. I currently maintain a talented music studio of children and adults in the Philadelphia Area. Many of my students have performed leads in school and regional theater productions. My former students have gone on to attend schools such as Oakland School of the Arts (Oakland, CA), CASA (Harrisburg, PA) and CAPA (Philadelphia, PA). Along with private teaching, I've taught K-8 general music in differentiated classroom settings across the country. As a classically trained Tenor, I've performed numerous operatic roles ranging from “Rinuccio” in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi to “Apollo” in Monteverdi's L'orfeo. I have an affinity for Gilbert & Sullivan operettas and have spent three summers in Ithaca, New York performing with the Cornell Savoyards. In the summer of 2015 I attended the OperaWorks Advanced Artist Program in Los Angeles, CA. I'm currently attending The University of the Arts as a Presidential Fellow where I will receive my M.A. in Music Education in the Spring of 2020. I am a 2018-2019 Teaching Resident for Opera Philadelphia and I serve as the Music Director of theater productions at the Upper Main Line YMCA. I hold a Master of Music Degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in voice performance and a Bachelor of Music Degree in voice performance from Ithaca College. I'm proficient on guitar, piano, and ukulele. I'm a native of Middletown, PA and attended Middletown Area High School.
