Ages 12 to 20

Teaching since:

I am a high school senior currently enrolled in AP Calculus BC. I have gotten A+ grades in all prior math classes and have a strong foundation of knowledge in the field of mathematics.

I am a very qualified math instructor to all levels. I scored a perfect 800 on the math section of the SAT and passed the AP Calculus AB test. I have received honors such as the Cerificate of Merit for having one of the highest SAT scores in my state and also acceptance into the International Distingushed Scholars Acadamic Honor Society.

Being a student myself, I am able to connect with my students more so than can someone who is not of the same age. I can give advice and strategies that helped me as a student and also tools and strategies that I continue to utilize. Students will feel more comfortable learning from someone who is near their own age and can personally relate to the topics they are learning.

Finally, I am a great motivator. I motivate students to succeed and challenge them to be the best the can be. Beyond just the intellectual skills I will be able to teach them, I will be able to show students that through their own mindset they are capable of achieving great things.

Nevin was a great tutor to help me prepare for my SATs. He was very knowledgeable in all topics especially math. He thoroughly reviewed every type of question that could be on the math section and made sure I really understood it before moving on to the next one. Because of Nevin, my math score increased by 40 points.

Nevin was extremely polite and was able to teach to my level. I had a difficult time understanding imaginary numbers and was able to break down the process step-by-step to further my understanding!
