Hi everyone! My name is Naza. I have been playing cello for 30 years - I started practicing at age 8 at a music in school in Kyrgyzstan. I then graduated from the National Kyrgyz Conservatory and continued my studies at Moscow State Conservatory under Maria Tchaikovskaya. I've performed internationally in Russia, Germany, Kyrgyzstan,and the USA. I've been a member of the Skokie Valley Symphony and Highland Park Strings. I currently teach in my private studio in Chicago area and have been doing so for the past 8 years. I love to teach this beautiful instrument and strongly believe that everyone has he potential to learn to play it at any age! The art of music makes us better people and more in tune with the world - it heals our souls and has the power to bring us all together. My philosophy for teaching cello is to bring out the best in a person, through the genuine connections we make over time. My students and I always choose the repertoire together so the process of learning is enjoyable for all. It fills my heart with joy to see them progress after every lesson, and see all the hard work they put in come to fruition. I also always encourage my students to play from their hearts - the technique will come :-) As it is not necessary to strive for perfection, but instead to express the beauty of the cello in the most authentic way, and in doing so, share the gift of music with the world.
