About Nathan Y.
Since I started playing guitar 10 years ago, I have played in a rock band, performed with several jazz ensembles, received awards in multiple classical guitar competitions, and studied with an array of masters in multiple styles. My diverse musical background has given me insights on how to simplify the instrument and help students learn to play the music that inspires them the most. Do you have a genre, song, or solo that you have dreamed of playing? I will help you create a path to making this a reality.
I will create a customized lesson plan for you based on your current level, musical taste, and available practice time. I am a very patient teacher, and will provide appropriate pacing that fits the student. I welcome student feedback and try my best to accommodate any special requests.

I was apprehensive about guitar lessons in general, but Nathan has changed my mind as a tutor. I am well pleased with how keen he is to tailoring lessons to one's goals. He is clear and precise in his teaching, and is also fun. I highly recommend him to whoever is considering it. I have learned so much in a couple lessons and always leave looking forward excitedly to the next one. Good man.

honest and patient.

Nathan is an incredible teacher. He really knows how to connect with students! His patience, flexibility, and ability to explain concepts really helped me learn. I feel like my guitar skills have grown so much since I started taking lessons with Nathan.

Nathan was very patient and knowledgeable as a beginner guitar instructor! Can't wait for our next lesson.
