Violin with Nathan S.

I have been playing the violin since I was 8 years old and teaching since I was 14. I am a graduate from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a minor in Bluegrass and Old Time Music Studies. By having 10 years of experience in violin and fiddle instruction, I have mastered playing as well as teaching individuals of all ages. As an instructor, my mission is to help all students grow and develop their mental and physical abilities in music as well as provide discipline and focus towards perfecting the art of violin performance and knowledge. My teaching involves students learning songs from a vast collection of Bluegrass, Country, Old-time, Celtic, Traditional Hymns, and Classical Music. While each musician has their own personal preference of music, all violin/fiddle players start at the same spot and develop the skills they need to take them in their own personal direction. My students start with simple, fun to play songs instead of just exercises. As their skills increase, so do the difficulty of the songs being taught. Most of my students are school age children, often playing in their school's music programs, but I am accepting musicians of all ages.
