After a long time trying to find a guitar instructor with affordable rates and availability that suits my needs, I am so glad to have been referred to Nathan. He radiates kindness and patience, making it easy to quickly feel comfortable with him. He moves at my pace and shows interest in the songs I want to learn and my own goals rather than working from an agenda. Nathan offers Covid conscious in-person as well as Zoom lessons which is convenient. I highly recommend him and I am so glad to learn from him.

I've worked with Nathan as a songwriting collaborator on various projects in the past and I can attest to his talent as a guitarist and songwriter. Nathan is a very innovative composer and an incredibly kind and thoughtful person. I've had the pleasure of co-writing and workshopping songs with him and it's always an inspiring experience. I would strongly recommend him as a guitar instructor and songwriting teacher.

Nathan’s optimism and continuous support helped reignite my passion for writing and playing! It’s obvious that he puts in an abundance of time and energy into personalizing a lesson plan for you, constantly assessing (and reassessing) your goals and then laying out achievable steps you can take to reach those. He has never been discouraging or judgmental; on the contrary, I look forward to sharing my progress with him each week. He breaks otherwise daunting concepts into small, palatable portions, teaching and incorporating into your practice regimen seamlessly. Outside of musical theory and technique, he also has advice for a number of problems, whether it be regarding networking, stage presence, recording, or less music-based problems such as burning out or handling drastic life changes. If you’re looking for a talented, empathetic teacher who truly cares about you and your pursuit of music, Nathan is my only recommendation!
