I have been playing drums for over 10 years. My first lessons started at the age of 13 from a gospel drummer at my church. Since then, I’ve had the privilege to train under the guidance from some of the greatest drummers alive such as Matt Halpern, Jojo Mayer and Matt Garstka. I’ve been playing in a band for most of my drumming career and have played all the venues around Houston. I have strong roots in metal drumming, but also have branched out into almost every genre there is. Reading and understanding percussion notation is very important to me and is one of the staples of my curriculum. I love every opportunity I get to teach, wether I spark a new passion in someones life, or just help them pick up a new hobby.
