Learn Korean from someone who understands the difficulty of learning the language

I taught myself Korean. So, I understand the struggles that everyone goes through when learning Korean and I have figured out all the tricks and ways of learning the language. I have perfected the Korean accent, have received a certificate from the Korean government confirming my Korean language abilities, and I have taught a Korean class in association with IYF (International Youth Foundation) at Temple University.

I understand how hard it is to be able to learn a second language. Having taught myself Korean, I have found how to have fun learning a new language, how to effectively learn the language, and how to squeeze it into a busy schedule. That's why I am flexible with my teaching schedule. I have been to South Korea four times and have intensively studied both the South and North Korean cultures, so feel free to ask me any questions. I want this class to be focused on your needs and what you want to learn - whether it be vocab, grammar, culture, or everything! I can read, write, speak, make jokes, and even make play-on-word jokes in Korean. I have received a certification from the Korean government confirming my proficiency in the Korean language, and I have taught a Korean course in association with the International Youth Foundation at Temple University. I have also studied at Yonsei University, one of South Korea's top schools and the country's oldest school, for the spring of 2018, and received a Masters from SOAS, University of London in 2020 focusing my research efforts on South Korean society.

The lessons are for my 16 year old daughter, so I haven't experienced them myself. But I can tell from all of the information she passes on, that Natalie is an excellent teacher. She customizes the lessons to my daughter's interests and skill level. I am so glad that I was able to get connected to her through take lessons.com.

Taking lessons with Natalie has been great! She breaks everything down easily, so that you can understand, and is very patient when it comes to your level of learning. I look forward to continuing my lessons with Natalie in the future! :)

Natalie is an incredible Korean teacher. Her lessons are always relevant, engaging, and useful. And having learned Korean herself, she knows the challenges that English speakers face and is great at helping others overcome those challenges. I owe it to Natalie for helping me get my Korean to where it is today!
