I strive to build a loving, supportive, and enthusiastic learning environment while maintaining high expectations and setting attainable goals in which students will succeed. I believe in teaching mastery of skills, reinforcing proper technique and musicianship from the very first piano lesson. Very thorough in my approach, I provide an individualized, yet comprehensive approach for each student, including instruction in music theory and history, technique, sight-reading, ear training, composition, and performance. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from USC as well as a California Teaching Credential in Music. I received my BA in Piano Performance and continued my performance studies at the Conservatory in Madrid, Spain. I have performed as a soloist, accompanist, and chamber musician throughout the U.S. and Western Europe in numerous festivals and concerts and I give my students the skills to become confident and comfortable with performing and their musical abilities!

Musikgarten is the leader in early childhood music education — for children and teachers. We offer a complete multi-year educational program that helps infants, toddlers, and children develop a deep love of music and the ability to express it. We have wonderful CDs of the songs sung in class, age-appropriate instruments, and parent guidebooks. These home materials reinforce lessons and involve the whole family in the fun. We also train teachers throughout the United States and Canada on how to guide infants, toddlers, and children in developing a love of music with the Musikgarten advantage.
