I currently have the best job on the planet - that's right am a teacher! I have the wonderful privilege of teaching children and exposing them to exciting academic concepts. I am responsible for igniting children’s interest through educating them in phonics, reading, writing, mathematics, science and history. I truly enjoy knowing that each day I can positively impact someone’s life through education.

1st Grade Teacher

I am currently working as a 1st grade teacher and I absolutely love my work. I enjoy teaching my students phonic. When I teach a lesson on phonics my students complete a drill. This drill focuses on letter sounds, correctly writing the letter and blending. When students know how to correctly identify and pronounce a letter sound, blending and reading flows naturally.

I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. Upon graduating I was hired as a 2nd grade teacher for the end of the 2015-2016 school year. I now teach 1st grade and I completely love it. I am absolutely thrilled with the challenge of customizing my lesson plans for multiple learning styles. My students that struggles with a concept help to keep me on my toes by forcing me to research, think harder, and attempt multiple techniques to ensure they grasp the concepts. I am passionate about teaching and I strive to be the best for my students.
