When you come to me for tutoring, for me, it becomes all about 'YOU". I identify the reason for you seeking this additional help. What is your need, what is urgent for you. Also, I use a self created diagnostic test to identify your current level in the given need based area. Once we have the over all picture of where you are, together we create .'where you want to be' i.e. our goal. Together, we then set to work on achieving the goal in as short a time as possible

I had a great first lesson experience with Nargis. I walked away feeling our lesson was so productive already. My dad (a native Hindi speaker) was even impressed with what I learned on the first day. I'm excited to keep learning with her.

    Experience

    Educational Diagnostician

    May, 2017 - Present

    Independent Contractor

I am graduating in Special Education with a concentration as Educational Diagnostician from the University of Houston, Victoria in the summer of 2017. Instead of working full time in a school, I am looking forward to work as an independent contractor as an educational diagnostician. This way I can pursue all those activities that I am passionate about.

    Special Education (inclusion) Teacher

    Dec, 2015 - Apr, 2017

Edgewood Independent School District, San Antonio

As an inclusion Special Education Teacher at the High School (career academy) I worked with 'at risk' students to help them graduate from high school. Over the time that I worked in this school, I can happily and truthfully state that I helped each one of my students to get that High School Diploma. I tried creative ways of supporting my students and together we did it.

    Certifications

    Engish As Second Language

    Jan, 2015

    Texas Education Agency

This certification is for teaching English to students whose first language is not English; for example children of Indian parents born and brought up in America are very familiar with the English Language. However, it is not the same when English is the first language of parents as well, that means they have all their interactions only in the English language. Since the curriculum of the US is geared towards texts created by authors with their first language being English, it does become difficult to be able to grasp the text in its entirety. ESL classrooms provide scope for slowly and steadily being able to grasp the English Language as well as students whose first language is English. The classroom provides for many more activities that help this transition.
