I have been teaching piano and voice lessons for over 2 years, and have been playing piano since age 5 and have been singing before I could even talk :) Music is my passion and I believe that everyone can find joy and success in some form through music. My lessons are typically 30 minutes, once a week. I teach out of my home studio near Fashion Valley Mall in Mission Valley, San Diego. I usually use the Bastien series, but am flexible depending on how the student learns. I hold recitals twice a year to showcase ability-once in the spring, and another around Christmas time. Practicing is very important to me, and I have a treasure box that the students are able to pick out of if they practice 50 minutes a week. I recently relocated to CA and unfortunately lost all of my AZ students, but before leaving I conducted interviews with local piano teachers in order to find the perfect fit for each student. I still currently teach one of my 6 year-old students via Facetime. I graduated in 2013 from ASU with a degree in Elementary Education, a minor in Music, and a certificate in Art. Since then, I have been a piano and voice teacher to 32 students, been a nanny to a pair of twins, started a children's entertainment company, and taught as a long term sub (3 month intervals) for 3rd grade, reading specialization, and middle school humanities. The majority of my availability is during weekdays, but weekend lessons may be possible as well. Thanks for taking a lot at my bio and I look forward to speaking with you!

Naomi had been a substitute teacher at my student's school and I knew she would be a good match to teach her piano. Naomi has a special way of tailoring her teaching to the individual student. She was always available to consider my input as well as taking into account the student's needs. Naomi has a unique way of keeping students engaged and enjoying learning. We miss her and recommend her highly!
