About Naomi R.
Naomi R. is an English Baroque violinist with twenty years of performing experience all over Europe. Born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Naomi comes from a musical family and played in a string quartet with her three sisters. She studied at the Royal College of Music in London with Catherine Macintosh and Rachel Podger and has performed with a variety of ensembles, including His Majesty's Sagbutts and Cornetts, The Dufay Collective, Red Byrd and The London Handel Orchestra. Naomi plays an original violin, made in 1693 by Edward Pamphilon on London Bridge. She relocated from London to Woodland in 2014 and has played with Michael Sand and Phebe Craig at the Mondavi Center. Naomi is delighted to connect with the Sacramento Baroque Soloists, she also plays electric violin with a variety of local bands and enjoys exploring the beautiful California countryside.
