Teach the weekly New Hire Orientation, and provide a safety message for that audience. Design, develop, and deliver OSHA/EPA safety programs focused on fire safety, environmental/occupational health, infection control, and emergency preparedness. I also manage the education tracking database for our department, and I also manage the Floor Warden program across all three major campuses.

SED (Spanish Education Development) Center

Here I taught English classes to native Spanish-speaking Hispanics who were part of a labor union for cleaning, construction, and hospitality workers. One of their union benefits was to receive classes on how to speak proper English (for their jobs). I was one of those instructors; I taught here 7 days a week for about 5 months until my contract ended.

The Kroger Co.

Served as a designer of web-based online training programs. Had to gather all graphics, photos, store information, etc. from subject matter expert in given Kroger departments, and work with them to develop these online training programs.

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center

Taught the bi-weekly new hire orientation program, and worked with HR to manage all their required paperwork for onboarding. Also taught a lot of Cultural Diversity training to current staff, and re-designed their Diversity Orientation program (converted it to online vs the classroom). Also taught several other professional development classes to hospital staff and served as a hospital Spanish Language Interpreter.

Providence Hospital

Designed and delivered the monthly orientation program for all newly hired employees. Responsible for all of the annual mandatory regulatory safety training required of the 2000+ hospital and nursing home staff members there. Also provided professional development courses for the hospital staff, provided customized training upon request, and also managed their education tracking database for the records of staff.

AMISYS Managed Care Systems

Created their Corporate Training Department, hired several trainers and administrative staff to assist clients and staff complete their annual training requirements, assisted architects with the development of their technical training center.

U.S. Patent & Trademark Office/USDA Graduate School

Oversaw technical training center that was part of U.S. PTO University. Provided technical training to government employees on Microsoft and Patent & Trademark technology systems.

Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae)

Taught banks and savings & loans how to report financial information back to Fannie Mae. Wrote procedures manuals and made many presentations after traveling 38 of the 50 states.

I received this certification while working as Director of Hospital Education at Providence Hospital. It was part of the full effort when I created the Interpreter Services Program there at that hospital. Part of the effort included several staff (including myself) receiving certification as well as the hospital adopting a telephonic translation service (some in person interpretation and some via telephone).

Association for Talent Development - ATD (formerly American Society for Training & Development - ASTD)

This is the highest certification awarded by this institution... it entails a written examination and submission of a "Work Product" explaining a training project you've completed.

Development Dimensions International (DDI)

I completed this certification while working as at Education & Training Specialist at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. The hospital sent a team of trainers to be certified in order to be able to deliver this (and other courses offered by DDI) to the hospital staff.
