Having trained at The Juilliard School (BM '14) and Rice University (MM '16), I have worked closely with the top classical musicians in the industry. I have extensive experience as a professional bassoonist and have performed with world-class orchestras including the Boston Symphony Orchestra and New York Philharmonic. My priority as a bassoon teacher is to cultivate the student's connection to the instrument and classical repertoire through a holistic approach—developing expressivity, technique, and discipline concurrently, as each facet is interconnected. The classical repertoire and history is vast and exciting! I hope to guide students to learn not only to play the bassoon, but to understand the cultural impact of classical music and particularly orchestral music.

Since receiving my degrees in bassoon performance from The Juilliard School and Rice University, I have settled in Boston and established myself as a freelance bassoonist and educator. I perform as a substitute musician in the Boston Symphony Orchestra and am a member of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and Boston Landmarks Orchestra. My specialization is orchestral performance, but I am also experienced in performing and teaching solo repertoire and chamber music.
I have taught students as young as 8 years old and have adult students as well. Whether you are just beginning to play music or are coming back to the instrument with years of experience under your belt, I am excited to develop your knowledge and technique on the bassoon!
