Singing with Morgan M.

HI! I'm Morgan, soprano. I am a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where I studied Voice Performance with Dina Cancryn. I done A LOT of performing! I sang Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro in Toronto, Ontario singing under the direction of Luke Housner, a coach from American Vocal Academy. Other roles include Valencienne in Franz Lehar’s operetta The Merry Widow, Sarah Brown in Guys & Dolls, and a spirit in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. I also performed scenes from Mozart’s operas Don Giovanni and Cosi fan tutte. I appeared as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah the past three years at MTSU under the direction of Raphael Bundage. This past year I placed second in the Grace Moore Vocal Competition and competed as a semifinalist in the Orpheus Vocal Competition. I am currently working as the assistant director of the MTSU opera program under the mentoring of H. Stephen Smith.
