Yoga truly is for everyone!
No one is too old, too stiff, large, small, or too weak.
A Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher will guide you towards your very own yoga experience. A safe, accessible and rewarding yoga practice.
I am a proud teacher of Iyengar yoga, a technique that greatly emphasizes alignment to prevent injuries. Through an alignment based practice, we will discover the best postures to suit your individual needs.
During our first session, I will assess your current physical restrictions, in order to build a focused individual and progressive path.
Throughout your individualized plan, you will build strength and stamina, while improving posture and concentration, in order to quiet the mind and promote full mind and body well-being.
In my 20’s and 30’s, I spent countless hours at the gym. At the time, I worked behind a desk, and in my free time pursued physical well being. I regularly trained weights and attended aerobic & spin classes pretty much daily.
Once I hit my 40’s, I discovered the practice of yoga. Yoga gave me everything I was looking for. Improved strength and posture, and what turned out to be the key; a meeting of my physical and mindfull well being.
I was elated, and grew increasingly eager to pursue more!
Then, in 2012, I was privileged to be invited to join Senior Iyengar Teacher Glenn Ceresoli’s teacher training. Glenn Cresoli’s program brought me to intensive courses and workshops In Norway, Italy, India and Australia.
My first years of teaching in Stavanger, Norway has brought me an array of clients of all walks of life. I was very excited when even my mother joined in, who at 74 years old, has discovered a new found flexibility and strength.
I’ve raised 2 fabulous girls in my beautiful country of Norway, and both have now left home to pursue their careers. As a recent “empty-nester” (as they say here in the U.S.) I decided to venture out too!
Not surprisingly (in retrospect), I was given the timely opportunity to retire from the corporate world at a relatively early stage in my life, and elected to move back to my birth country, The United States.
So here I am, now residing in the quaint little urban community of Dunedin, Florida, excited to bring my practice & experience of Iyengar Yoga to my new neighbors, in and around Dunedin, Florida
Please join me! I sincerely look forward to working with you, in pursuit of a an even better you - mind and body.
