I am currently pursuing doctoral degree in piano performance at University of Illinois where I also teach. I started piano studies when I was 3 and I have been teaching for 9 years working with students from age 5 to seniors. I like working with students who like music and would love to know more about how to express themselves with music.

About Ming C.

Ming Chai is pursuing a degree of Doctoral of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Literature at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign study with Timothy Ehlen. Ming works as a teaching assistant for music theory and aural skills, and is a recipient of the Langford Fellowship. I loves piano music, composition ,and is active as a collaborative pianist with contemporary music ensembles and is pursuing a cognate in composition, study with Stephen Taylor, Eli fieldsteel. Ming completed her MM at Syracuse University where she received the Evalina Vernon Honsinger Prize for piano performance.
