I have been playing Upright and Electric Bass for 10 years and teaching since 2008. I emphasize an understanding of music as a whole and a technical foundation that will avoid any kind of bad habits/injuries and ensure progress throughout the student's life with the instrument. All students will learn basic music theory and technique, as well as whatever area of music they are particularly interested in, as the latter is greatly informed and better understood through knowledge of basic theory and technique.
