    About Miller K.

I am an artist and game developer from the Bay Area. Having encountered toy and game invention at an early age through my father, my art and design work emphasizes unique mechanics and tactile interfaces. I graduated from UCLA with a BFA in Design Media Arts in 2018, and have worked in augmented reality in Los Angeles and been a member of the Open Plan Collective, a media art group. This past year I completed an arts fellowship in Shanghai, where I began developing a simulation of the universe with Shanghai-based Chronus Art Center in a collaboration with Beijing sculptor Yin Xiuzhen. In addition to making games and other digital works, I also create various film projects and participates in live-art performances. I have been teaching a one week course in beginning world design this past summer to high schoolers, and I have enjoyed watching students realize their ideas. I believe game development can be as expressive as any art form, and its my mission to help students explore their potential as a "world builder".
