I am a gigging multi-instrumental musician based out of Denver, Colorado. I have over 10 years of performance experience, which has led me to performance opportunities across the country. My main instrument is drums; however, I also teach guitar and beatboxing. Yes, beatboxing.
Drums: I taught myself how to play drums when I was 10 and began taking lessons in the years following. I've studied with some of the jazz greats in the Colorado area and have performed across the state at venues ranging from 15 to 4,000 people. My stage presence is something I get compliments on after every show, and I want to share the importance of this skill with up-and-coming drummers. I teach basic skills and rudiments as well as performance skills that will take your stage presence to the next level.
Beatboxing: Yes, beatboxing. Are you curious about the weird noises you can make? Beatboxing is a fun and useful skill. Whether it be performing, recording or even teaching - beatboxing can set you apart as a musician. As a drummer, I naturally started beatboxing my drum parts not knowing that there would be a place for beatboxing in my musical career. After discovering a cappella in high school, I quickly realized how useful beatboxing can be. Beatboxing has led me to gig opportunities I never thought I'd get. I can teach you the basics, advanced techniques, breath control, and so much more.
I hold my B.S. in Music Business from The University of Colorado Denver ('18).
Live drummer for Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Chloe Tang.
Beatboxer/Vocal Percussionist for the professional collegiate a cappella group Mix out of Denver, CO.
Broadcast Music Inc. was founded in 1939 by forward-thinkers who wanted to represent songwriters in emerging genres, like jazz, blues and country, and protect the public performances of their music. Operating on a non-profit-making basis, BMI is now the largest music rights organization in the U.S. and is still nurturing new talent and new music.+ Read More

Been meaning to learn guitar for awhile now and I’m so glad I went to Mike! He’s super nice and our lesson was fun and productive. His teaching style makes the idea of learning a new instrument less daunting. Looking forward to the next lesson!
Incredible talented and patient, as well as knowledgeable and qualified.
