Michael is an awesome teacher. He knows how to teach and motivate his student. My son first had a hard time to make any right tune as a beginner. Just after several lessons with Michael, he was able to play some simple songs and gained a lot of confidence. Now he has been learning with Michael for one year and will continue. To my son, Michael is not just a teacher but also like a friend. If you are considering start to play trumpet ,Michael will be a perfect choice.

My son has taken lessons from Michael for a year and a half and is in 7th grade. As an advocate for children's music development, I am so grateful our son has taken lessons with Michael. My son is highly motivated to play and takes such joy in playing, and this is in large part, thanks to Michael. What i particularly appreciate is his wholistic approach. They work on understanding how the instrument fits with arrangements and other instruments. They work on site reading, ear training, music theory, tone, and a variety of styles of music. He is patient and constructive. Best teacher if you are serious about trumpet.

Mike has been a fantastic trumpet teacher for my son. My son started with him over two years ago, and we've kept the lessons going online during COVID. Mike is friendly and very easy to work with. He has helped to engage my son in trumpet by having him listen to jazz and classical recordings and try to recreate phrases that he likes, by encouraging him to really listen and sing the pieces that they are working on, and by working with him on his school band music. I appreciate the ease of communicating and scheduling with Mike, and my son loves to chat about sports with him before the lessons start. I really value all of the hard work that Mike has put into teaching and encouraging my son to love music. I enthusiastically recommend him as a teacher.
