Mike S. Trombone, Trumpet, Euphonium, Guitar, and Singing

Mike began playing in the seventh grade, and was all-state by the tenth grade. His Bachelor's of Music Ed, and his Master's of Music in Performance are from LSU-Monroe where he was principle in both band and orchestra, and lead in the jazz ensemble. He has taught band in both public and private schools, and has served as Music Director in two churches.

Playing trumpet and trombone professionally since the 60's, his career has included: The Phares Corder Dance Orchestra, The Monroe Symphony Orchestra, Miss Louisiana and Miss Mississippi Pageants, Little Theater, Barnum and Bailey's Circus, Holiday on Ice, The Bob Hope Show, USO Tour of Europe, The Tom Jones Show, Sonny and Cher Tour, New Life Band, The Atlanta Swing Orchestra, The Sentimental Journey Orchestra, The Atlanta Trombone Ensemble, and too many other solo and ensemble performances to list. I currently sing and play trumpet and guitar professionally in the Charleston area.

"I love to play and teach all types of music."

My 9 yr old son is a beginner trumpet player and has had 2 one hour lessons with Mike. Mike's passion for the trumpet and music is contagious and my son is loving playing the trumpet! I'm pleasantly surprised at how much my son has learned in just 2 lessons and how much he looks forward to his lessons!
