I’ve been teaching and playing drums for a couple decades, however, it didn’t take that long to get good at the drums. In fact, it doesn’t take long at all. I’ve set drumming goals for myself and have achieved all of them. Being in a band, making an album, being signed to record label, playing on the radio, playing concerts... none of these things are extraordinary and none of them are out of reach! One of my goals is to have you independently playing the drums as soon as possible. I want you, the student to get it. I want you to comprehend what the drums are and what they do, and how they function within a band setting as well as by themselves and then... I want you to go off on your own. Use your own creativity and take the things you’ve learned and make it your own. Everyone of us teachers was at some point an uneducated student who needed help and to be set free. That’s what I do. I help you learn and then get you going-
