Hello, my name is Mike and I am excited to teach you. I have studied the drums for most of my life, and can't wait to show you what I have learned. I have been fortunate enough to have worked with some amazing teachers and musicians from all over the globe. I am more than willing to pass on what I have discovered. I have taught beginners how to hold the sticks and play simple grooves, as well as shown seasoned veterans how to strengthen their foundation and overcome roadblocks to mastery. I encourage my students to develop a solid foundation of technical skills (grip, body mechanics, reading, time, rudiments, styles/grooves) while finding their own voice on the instrument. Musical performance is a deeply personal experience, and I hope to guide you towards whatever goals you have in mind. Let me know if you have any questions.
