I have played the guitar and bass professionally for almost 50 years; performing, recording and writing with many well-known artists such as, John Lee Hooker, Albert King, Pat Simmons (Doobie Brothers), Larry Carlton, Bill Champlin and others. I started teaching 28 years ago and developed a method of learning how to play that's fun and really works. I have been teaching in the Santa Cruz area for over 20 years now. Music is my life and I love sharing what I've learned with creative people of all ages in this area. I believe we are all musicians. We just have to find our instrument. *** Lesson Details *** Each lesson is designed for the individual, depending on skill level, goals and learning abilities. The student is taught the songs he or she wants to learn. Emphasis is placed on how to practice. Through correct practice techniques the student sees results, wants to practice more and improves quickly. Progress is checked and all questions are answered.
