American History with Mikayla P.

Hello! My name is Mikayla Pacheco. I have been a private tutor for 2 years, teaching a variety of subjects. However, my strongest subjects are English Literature and Composition and United States History. I have graduated high school in the Top 10% with a GPA of 4.8. I also earned passing marks on the AP Tests for English Lit, World History, and Government and politics. Currently, I am attending San Jacinto College for my basics and plan on transferring to Southern Methodist University, where I will double major in English and Political Science. I am also a professional actress and singer. As a tutor, it brings me great joy to help other students reach their full potential in their academics. I love teaching and I encourage students to ask questions when they need help. I am patient and understanding when it comes to learning and I am willing to work with your student(s) until they feel 100% confident in whatever they are studying, learning, or writing. I hope to create a fun, efficient, and comfortable learning experience and look forward to potentially teaching your student. As far as what to expect in lessons, it will vary depending on the student. I like to first get to know the student and figure out what they need or want to learn. From there, I will teach them what they need to know and help them prepare for quizzes, tests, and essays. After their assignments have been graded, I would like for the student to share these grades with me so we can figure out where we need to improve and thus ensure the student is always learning what they need to learn to best excel in class.
