Hello everyone, I'm Mika and I am a professional classical pianist with more than 15 years experience. I specialize in solo performance, chamber music and collaborative accompanying. I am originally from Japan, but I studied in the United Kingdom (Royal Academy of Music) and now live in the USA. I have performed in Japan, UK, France, Denmark, Austria, Romania and USA. As a teacher, I aim to give my students a strong foundation in piano technique, help them understand and learn musical concepts and guide them to develop their musical expression. My goal ultimately is to share the experience I have as a performer with my students to help them develop their own playing to the level that they desire. I am the product of the many teachers who helped me develop my playing, and I would like to pass this knowledge to the next generation of pianists.
