After graduating from the elite High School of Music in Oita, Japan - I came to America to study
at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. After completing their famous pedagogy program
in 1992, I graduated and settled in San Diego to focus on teaching and piano accompaning.
I began teaching piano full-time in 1997 and always get a thrill out of helping students of all
ages to achieve their musical dreams and bring out their best qualities.

In my experience my personal feedback confirms that I am consistently patient, enthusiastic
and positive in my approach with students. My curriculum is based on the popular Bastien,
Hal Leonard and Faber method books. I have vast experience with beginning students,
and have also worked with intermediate and advanced students, including competition
preparation and placement. For the more advanced students I use the Keith Snell method.

· · Miho is a great teacher. My son has been taking his lessons about two months now. She patiently coaches him on his weak points, and my son is improving them quickly. He decided to take the piano lessons because it will help him to get into college as a music major more easily. But now he is really getting into it, and he wants to make the piano his major.
· · Excellent and patient teacher- Very encouraging!
Miho is so detailed and patient. My daughter is just anxious to learn more and more and really enjoys practicing. Miho answers her questions and really engages her.
