I like to try to be the most helpful I can be! Let me know what you would need help with, and I'll respond, whether or not I can help you. My passion is to play violin and to help students.
I went to a Seventh-day Adventist school from Kindergarten to grade twelve. Then, I went to a Seventh-day Adventist university. After that, I volunteered as an elementary school teacher in Majuro, Marshall Islands for two years (2015-2017).
I then was a teacher's aid in Port Hardy, British Columbia in the 2017-2019 school year. From September - December 2018, I taught grades 1,3, and 4 in a small Seventh-day Adventist school in Bella Coola, British Columbia. Now, I'm an on-call teacher aid / teacher for all the schools in the Bella Coola valley. These schools include School District 49, Nuxalk Acwsalcta Academy of Learning, and the Seventh-day Adventist school.
Mihaela is classically trained, but enjoys all kinds of music for fiddle/violin, and is quick at picking up new melodies, and also playing by ear. This skill makes her really good at being about to help with whatever songs a student would like to learn. Because of her computer skills, she is also able to introduce the various apps that are available for enhancing practice on the instrument. She has a really good ear, and because she sings harmony well, she can also play spontaneous harmony for fiddle tunes. Mihaela is a kind, patient and fun loving person, which I think would make her great with children. I am many years her senior, and have enjoyed a few lessons with her.Show More

I work as an on-call teacher/teacher aide. Sometimes I help supervise, aid students in their work, aid special needs students, help teachers with their jobs like photocopying, etc.
Avalon Adventist Academy
I helped the teacher with photocopying, keeping students up with their catch-up work, supervising students, and helping a special needs student.
Laura Adventist School
I taught a grade 1/2 class for the first 3/4ths of the year, and then I taught preKinder - Kindergarten for the remainder of the school year. This was on the same island, Majuro, but into the country side of it. The Students' first language was Marshallese, so I had to help them understand English more while teaching all subjects (Math, English, Science, Social Studies, Bible, Art, PE, and Music). The teaching was based on the American curriculum.
Delap Adventist School
