The piano is probably the easiest instrument to learn, but one of the hardest to master. For starters, I would go over the fundamentals of piano playing and music theory, so that way anyone would get the chance to know whether this instrument is their best first choice to learn music, or if they would like to another instrument, such as the guitar or saxophone.

From the introductory lessons, I would go over more info on the history, techniques, and types of music, and what makes them different from one other.

Next, past the adept stage, I would go over more contemporary and traditional piano playing and musical theory. The info in all levels won’t really differ too much, so it won’t be tough to try to pick up on more and more new knowledge; instead, it will be more at a professional level.

I may ask students, at one point or later, to play in front of a crowd. This means that you get the choice to pick: A) Allow me to choose for you or B) pick your own place to play at. You may be asked to play nothing more than just one song, but it would be the full-version of the song and for the full duration of that song. This is a part of being a performer, and it’s great! You get to pick and choose who gets to enjoy your talents, and who gets to whine about it!

But for real though, the piano is extremely easy to pick up, and it’s good to use for vocal practice.

I can try to go over topics such as types of pianos and instrument care, piano playing, sheet music, tempo and rhythm training, music vocabulary and notation, performances and the like, and next steps for what to do with musical training.

About Miguel F.

I am a first-generation college student and I hold both an associate’s of science in the general sciences and a bachelor's of science in Neuroscience & Cognitive Science with a distributed emphasis in neurobiology. My coursework largely consists of Matlab modeling, neurogenetics, cognitive science, biology, physics, chemistry, ethics, and writing composition. Despite being more familiar with science and engineering, I took classes in the arts, and communications, as well.

As far back as middle school, I wanted to learn and do so much. Originally, I wanted to join Cirque du Soleil, specifically their show Kurios, and I wanted to major in aerospace and mechanical engineering to become a pilot to test out and build my ideas for flight engines and propulsion systems.

I was an Ambassador for Aunt Rita's & the AIDS Walk Foundation of Phoenix, a guest experience member at the Arizona Science Center, and a private tutor for a Matlab coding course. I wanted to begin my work as a tutor through Takelessons years ago, but I waited until I received my second degree to greatly practice my skills in education and leadership, and to acquire more knowledge.

My son is a sophomore student that has a final in chemistry. I contacted Miguel and he scheduled a lesson right away on the same day(usually you need to schedule a couples days before to give to the teacher time to be prepared). My son took 3 lessons during the week to and Miguel explained him all the difficult material and unswerd his questions. Afterwards when I contacted the teacher during the lessons he unswerd and text me right away.
If you are looking a good teacher, definitely Miguel is!
