Hey there! My name is Michelle, I am a music professional in Southern California. I have a Bachelors Degree in Cello Performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory at CSULB, and a Graduate Artists Diploma in Contemporary Writing & Production (arranging and recording) from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. I work as both a performing cellist and a producer who arranges and records string ensembles. I have worked with contemporary acts like Olivia Rodrigo, Louis Tomlinson of One Direction. 5 Seconds of Summer, Ava Max, Christina Perri, Troye Sivan, Brent Faiyaz, Eminem, and have contracted for Sofia Carson and Dianne Warren. I have recorded for League of Legends, both for the character login screens, and for the Arcane animated series, Brawlhalla and Assassins Creed. A lot of these have been done from my home studio, thanks to the incredible tools I was given at Berklee. I have performed for the Ellen Degeneres show, the Late Late show with James Corden, and the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. As someone who works hard in life and has learned that effort is rewarded, I want to teach my students similar lessons about hard work and reward. I want to help you reach your goals with your instrument and with music production, and I hope this enriches your life holistically. Please reach out for more info. I'm excited to meet you! Michelle

I’ve known Michelle for awhile, and when I decided it was time to stop messing about and actually learn something, she was my first choice!! I always strive to learn from the best, and it’s never failed me ❤️

Michelle is THE best teacher I’ve ever had. Her attention to detail in all of our appointments have been so helpful. She is so patient with me. I am so grateful to have her instruct me and encourage me to be a better player. She puts a lot of thought behind every lesson and doesn’t waste any time. You will become a better player if you study with her. I highly recommend talking lessons!

    Sunset Learning Studio

I was in "extremely high-demand" as a faculty member at Sunset Learning Studio in Redondo Beach. I loved teaching at Sunset because their values are close to my heart. It is a family-run lesson studio which places a huge emphasis on community and student happiness. They don't, nor do I, believe in intimidation or over-straining young students. We have a shared belief in the intrinsic rewards of learning an instrument, and the fun brought out by skilled teachers. Sunset is so kind and caring to their teachers as well, and I think that speaks volumes about their business. Within the first couple months I was given a raise and more opportunities to teach group classes. It is so wonderful to feel like your hard work is noticed and valued. I have a great relationship with all of the staff here, and it has a great deal to do with the environment. The students flourish in a place like this, most of my students here are young pianists ages 5-12, not only are they happy, but they all develop real bona-fide (not just adorable) music skills.

    Tustin Music Center

The was my first teaching studio job, I began it at the end of college. This was the first time I had to make a syllabus and keep serious track of students progress, program recitals, and more. I learned so much from teaching down in Tustin and met many students with whom I will keep a lasting relationship. Tustin Music demanded a lot from their teachers in terms of excellence, this helped me grow so much and become the encouraging knowledgeable teacher I am today. I am so thankful for their advisement and encouragement.
